John,

It passes power through, but the DCS does not work.

If any channel does not pass power, open the TIU and check the fuses. Replace any that have opened.

Next, check to ensure that the DCS signal is on for all channels:

Menu/System/DCS Setup and press the AON soft key.

This and a whole lot more is all in "The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", now available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book from MTH's web store site! Click on the link below to go to MTH's web page for the book!

It's not a fuse if it passes power through.Did you try all the channels? Does the red light come on inside the TIU when it's powered up?

If you find the signal is turned on using MENU/ SYSTEM/ DCS SETUP/ S3 softkey for all on, I'd sent it to MTH for repair being it's the current  REV. L TIU if the DCS.

Hi Gents

Thanks for the responses. I need to do more testing I think. My thinking the engines were starting up quiet may have been because there was no power! Also, I need to confirm no signal on all tracks (I'm sure we had the issue on more than just one track but I need to confirm)

Heres what I know for sure....

It powers up, both remotes find the TIU. The AON has been set. There is a visible melt spot above Fixed 1 & 2 In, and last week it was very warm in the corner above Var In 1.

Of course I left it at the layout today, so I cant post a pic.

I will report back in a couple days!

John
