Rest in Peace Marty !
I hope his wife gets help if she needs it.
To his Close friends here on OGR , I am sorry for your loss .
He will be missed here .
I have been like a brother with Marty for over 20 years and have seen his happiness with Dotty, his very significant partner, from day one. I can assure you that myself and some others make sure she is well and protected. But for Dotty, Marty would not have been with us as long as he was. She was his greatest blessing. This was one of his last York's before beginning his move to Heaven.

Here’s the link to Marty’s obituary. I tried to copy and paste without the link, but that didn’t work. https://www.currentobituary.com/member/obit/239613
Dotty, very nice obituary. Thank you for posting it.
For all of us Marty left a huge hole we are going to need to fill. If someone on the forum asked for help we need to help them more that ever before. After all we don't have our Marty to do it for us. No one of us can begin to fill Marty's shoes but as a group we can try. Let's try and help forum member at every turn or find someone that can. Don

Marty was a great gift to all us o gaugers for the wonderful o gauge knowledge he freely shared with us on the forum making our enjoyment of the hobby much more fulfilling. His dedication and influence in moving this hobby along into new technology is something that I am personally grateful for and can’t help but remember him every time I start up my layout. One last thank you Marty!
My heartfelt condolences to Dotty and Marty's family and many, many friends.
Someone may have posted this earlier, but it's a cab ride through Marty's layout with some nice music. I think it makes a fitting tribute.

Thank you for sharing that Jim. Marty had some great stories to tell. I wish he wrote a book on some of his police stories.
Thanks for posting that newspaper story Jim for everyone to see about Marty’s life. He was one of a kind in always going out of his way to help others.

Dotty: So sorry to hear this news. Marty was so lucky to have had you in his life. I will always remember riding up to see you two on the Acela and the two of you meeting me at the station. What a wonderful day visiting with you, your warm home, Marty 's fantastic layout, a trip to Charlie Ro's store and finding that your cat and one of mine almost looked to be from the same litter. And I think of Marty's many acts of kindness to me during phone calls over the years. He helped me solve many problems. The outpouring of sadness for Marty's show on this forum says it all. Phil
I am sorry for your loss Dotty, prayers to you and the family.
Deepest sympathies to Dotty and Marty's family.
Amen Dotty. Everybody should have a wonderful friend like you in their life.
I really would have liked to have known him better, but it never happened. I'm, flippant and him more the straight man; I felt I got on his nerves a bit too often.
My irreplaceable "GG-1 online big brother" though; he posted about the big juicers and I drank up all the info I could hold. His posts often left me literally excited for more knowledge; at times uprooting as many new questions/facts as he just answered. His live cant. an achievement of dreams the lotto might not buy me easily.
Right now I mostly keep recalling my first figuring out Dottie and Marty were a couple, and how it seemed to be an absolute perfect fit. Boy my smile was big.
Thank you for sharing this enviable man with us Dottie.
R.I.P. Marty.
Ms Dottie, my prayers and condolences to you and family. You and Marty have given so much to so many; so much joy and happiness; what a humble man; please take care and God Bless; Xavier
Rest In Peace Marty. Thank you for your service to your city and our country.
