I'd like to upgrade the ABBA set of Alco PAs made by Right-of-Way years ago. Have the powered B unit as part of it ...
Anyone upgraded one of these locomotives/sets?
What's available for this type of locomotive?
Thank you!

As mentioned, ERR is the only game in town. The ERR stuff is only rated for two motors, so if you have multiple powered units, you'll be using multiple ERR TMCC kits to drive them in an MU configuration.
There's no reason you can upgrade them as long as they have DC motors, the ERR stuff is pretty flexible.
You could also use a PS/2 upgrade if they have flywheels, I don't know if you run DCS, but that is another option.

What! That's a rare unit right there! Are you kidding?

Sorry but they don't. They are equipped with Pittman can motors though and extremely low gearing!

Which road name do you have Kerrigan?
They certainly were years ahead of their time in detail and lighting. Note the lighted side number boards, marker lights, light at the rear of the A units, and the light above the windshield - and this was in the early 1990s.
We had a set of the D&H and what I always liked about them was the unusual brushed steel look to the cab bodies that stood out against the plain silver of the trucks. The Santa Fe was done in a similar treatment.
I can't imagine any major issues upgrading them, do these have a single motor and gearing or dual motors?
We have the SP Daylight version, ABBA with I think powered A and powered B, not sure if the other A is powered ... don't remember if it was offered as that, or just one powered A ... the gearing issue ... I have an email somewhere from the guy who either designed, or helped engineer, the boards. He said a small wiring change eliminates the low speed of these units.
I'll send ERR an email and ask about it, thanks!
Think they also have the MARS light installed, .... optional I think by QSI through which I purchased them.
Very cool units. Like to have had the passenger cars too. There was an entire set, ABBA with the powered B and all the cars on Ebay months ago. Wanted I think around $1k and it didn't sell.
