In The DCS Companion Barry recommends isolating all the power blocks. What are peoples experiences with and without isolating the power blocks in their layouts? Thanks Carl
Your mileage may very. I have zero signal problem. I started from scratch with two large loops, each with 12 isolated blocks of 10 to 12 track joints, fed with home run wiring. There are some here that make an existing layout work just by wiring in a TIU.
My experience was night and day difference. I'm sold on using the blocks with DCS and would highly recommend them. Following Barry's book made a huge difference for me. No DCS operational problems since adding the blocks several years ago. Only problems I've had were self-inflicted and not the fault of the DCS system.
