Issue with ERR and R100 Mode

I'm stumped. I have 2 different locos with ERR Cruise Commander boards installed and both show the same symptom.

I've confirmed that the boards are set for 100 speed steps.

Example of the issue: I accelerate the engine to speed step 50 or so, nice, small speed steps exactly as I expect. No problem.

Now I decelerate to stop, nice small speed steps until I reach about step 20 or so. Then a sudden stop. Display still reads step 20.

This is repeatable. It is not that the graph and board get out of sync. If that were the case, I'd still get a smooth stop, just not at step 0.

It's like something's stuck on "down 32 steps = full stop."

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What is the version on the CC. Are you running in TMCC mode.

Bill,

I'm running V4.1 according to the documentation.

If I switch my CAB2 to use TMCC with them, they work fine but with 32 speed steps.

I would like to use 100 steps if I can.

Being that it is 4.1 I would suggest calling ERR Monday and talk to Ken. I had the same problem with a couple of Cruise "M". They had to be reprogrammed.

Is your Legacy software up to date too? I may be wrong, but I think that there were some updates for the R100 mode in recent releases.

I sometimes get the same thing, but I'm using DCS and figured that was the reason.

If you go back up a notch then back down does the engine stop (mine do)?

I've got a Legacy GP9, a 3rd Rail E7, and an old RailKing RS3 (was Locosounds) with ERR Cruise Commander and new Railsounds board, running via DCS.

Bill, I'll give ERR a call.

Nicole, I'm at V 1.52. I upgraded specifically for the R100 feature.

Bob, mine's not exactly like your issue. Mine go from 10 SMPR or so to a dead stop in 1 step. They stop, just very suddenly.
