Yesterday I picked up my TIU from my local train store.  I had them update my TIU to the 6.0 version, and immediately hooked it back up to my layout to try the new premium app.  Everything was hooked back up they way it was prior to taking it to be updated.  As soon as I turned the power on to my two bricks all 6 of my trains completely came up without having to do the startup on the app.  As soon as I entered the app all six trains were placed in the inactive list.  I was worried the trains would start to run on their own and shut off power to the tracks.  I again turned on the power to the tracks and the same results occurred.  I hit the refresh button in the top left corned of the app but it did not help.  I decided to walk away from it and try again today when I had more time.  This time I removed all trains from the tracks accept one, and verified that I had all connections made between the WIU, TIU, and power bricks.  I turned the power on to the bricks and the train started up instantly just like before. Do I need to do an update to my WIU as well.  I made an update to the WIU earlier this year.  Thank you for your help.

I went into the advanced features and made sure all the DCS signals were turned on for all 4 channels of the TIU.  I currently have a very simple set up. Two oval tracks with each being powered by a MTH Z 1000 brick.  One  brick is attached to the fixed voltage 1 input, and the second brick to the fixed voltage 2 input.  Placed single engine on track and immediately starts up.

I had problems with upgrade to Version 6 on TIU.   What solved my problem was to reset the TIU back to factory defaults. Reconfigured the TIU setting and then everything worked fine. I also reset the remote to factory defaults. You will loose all your settings and engines. Make sure you have Version 1.1.0 software on your WIFI unit.

Hope this helps.

It sounds as if when you put the TIU back on the layout, you reversed the wires between the center and outside rails. The red TIU output terminal goes to the center rail and the black terminal goes to an outside rails.                                            When I disconnected my TIU to have it updated by the local train store I left all wires in place except the hookups going in or out of the TIU.  All wires to the track stayed connected.  I have the wires leaving the fixed voltage channel 1 & 2 going to mth 12 port terminal blocks. The wires plugged into the ports were never unplugged.  All trains ran perfect before update. I attached to pictures showing the input and output fixed voltage channels on the TIU as they are currently set up. Thank you for your assistance.IMG_1059IMG_1060

I do have a z1000 brick powering the fixed channel 1.  You can see the wires in the photo attached to the channel 1 input of the TIU.  The fixed channel 2 is powered by a second z1000 Brick. I have fixed channel 1 controlling one oval of track & fixed channel 2 controlling my second oval of track. Could there have been some type of glitch that occurred during the TIU update?  I even tried to use the remote this evening but had no luck with it either.  Not sure what happened.....Before TIU update trains ran perfect with system/ After update trains immediately startup and have no response using wifi app.. The only variable that has changed in the situation is the updated TIU plus the wifi app upgrade to premium.. Thanks again
