So my new Hudson I got last Saturday is a nice Runner. Problem is like the other MTH Railking Hudson whether they are Proto 2.0 or 3.0 that run on the SD3R Layout has a minor stall abut continues to operate at full speed. Is this with the engine or the switches that it stalls out as always?

How dos a stall operate at full speed? Are you saying you lose the signal and then it continues on? If so, that's how DCS functions with no signal, it keeps doing what it was last told to do.
Yeah, the switches are Atlas and other Railking Hudsons do the same thing.
I add a roller to problem locomotive's tender and use a single-wire tether to tie it to the engine.
You might check the atlas switches, older ones are notorious for losing the center rail conductivity to the internal rails. The fine wire they used cooks and then the rail is dead.
