Hello fellow switcher fans and welcome to Switcher Saturday March 16, 2024 St. Paddy's Day Edition!!! It's our honor to welcome you aboard If you love those little locomotives that do big things and serve as the backbone of any railroad then you are in the right place. Switcher Saturday welcomes all gauges/scales from N - G and 1:1 gauge/scale too.
My apology for not looking ahead and posting a request in last week's SwSat to show some green switchers this weekend in honor of St. Patrick's Day. I know this is last minute ... however, since tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day I thought if you have some photos of green switchers handy please post a photo or two. Of course if you're like me, and don't have any green switchers in your fleet, perhaps post your switcher pushing some green rolling stock. AND of course, if you prefer not to show some green no worries at all ... show us your wonderful switchers whatever color they may be ... because all switchers are beautiful! AND we'd love to see yours!
Remember: There are two rules for participating:
1. Be nice, have fun and enjoy yourself!
2. Post only photos that you have taken.
Posting copy written photos is an infringement upon copyright law. If you do post a copy written photo, make sure you have the express written permission of the photo's owner. Anyone posting copy written photos/content, without obtaining consent of the photo's owner, is subject to legal action, and a possible hefty fine, plus having OGR Forum privileges suspended permanently. Please read the OGR Forum TOS ( Terms of Service ) to learn more about OGR copyright policy.
Please post your photos, videos, and information regarding switchers. It's always exciting to see what everyone posts each week! As always, I can't wait to see what content you all post this week too! We learn so much from each other !
Have a terrific and safe weekend, wherever you may be!! Green signals to all!!
Today on the Free State Junction Railway my closest St. Paddy's Day switcher is this Baltimore & Annapolis SW9. ( With my color blindness this switcher may not have any green what so ever. Someone once told me it had some green so I chose to show it based on what I was told ... LOL! ) Here she is basking in the afternoon sun.
Later B&A number 87 is shoving a green REA car after having set out the New Haven Dairy car. Earlier today, a Westside Lumber Shay has been carrying out switching assignments in the Patsburg Switching District. Here the Shay heads out on a transfer run to West Yard.
