FYI: The smoke stack and base are repro parts I fabricated. The original tin power house was not modified or damaged.

nice job. all chimneys should smoke.
Very cool.
Looks great, what smoke generator did you use.
Great job, I love it.. As RonH asked.. what smoke system did you use ?
I love that backdrop!
Thanks guys!
The smoke unit is a generic modern Lionel generator. It fit into the smoke stack base perfectly. I put a CPU cooling fan underneath for more air flow up the stack. Inside the building are the relays and timer for operation.
The backdrop is oil on canvas.

Very Nice. Always liked the Ives Powerhouse. Smoke is always a good thing.

The style really matches the era.
boy, for a second there i could almost picture driving down the NJ Turnpike through Perth Amboy!
getting the live smoke to take the same turn out of the stack as pictured in the background is a nice touch, too.
cheers...gary

Any chance of putting together a smoke stack for another Ives power house for another member?
Nice work - I like the cpu idea. I think that I need to borrow it.

AWESOME!
Interestingly enough, when I bought mine several years ago, I contemplated trying to figure out a way to make it happen. I thought about drilling a small hole in the base of the smokestack to run tubing from a smoke generator under the layout up the stack to near the top.
Nice work.
