Its being reported on Facebook that Jack De Rosset, Owner of the Model RailRoad shop in Dunellen, NJ has past away on January 30th. He will sorely be missed. He was a great man that was known not only for running the oldest hobby shop in America but also for fire truck restorations and collecting. R.I.P.

I didn't know him well but I did have a few conversations with him. He was a great guy. Super nice, always had time to talk or teach you something. He will definitely be missed by many including me. It was always a pleasure to visit his store.
That's very unfortunate, my condolences to his family. Hopefully his shop will continue to stay open and maybe his fire trucks will go to a museum.
