So I just got the Lionel LCS system so I could drive my trains with my phone. A completely unnecessary thing but I enjoy it. My question is, whenever I change my switches, why does my K-Line locomotive’s headlight start flickering? It won’t stop until I interrupt track power. Nothing bugs me more than a locomotive doing what it shouldn’t. Any advice? Couldn’t find anything in Lionel’s iCab manual online

Pro tip- look at your base when this is happening. If the transmit light is a blinking, then you are sending commands out on the track. The headlight in the engine blinks anytime the engine sees a TMCC command over the radio signal.

Most likely, this is normal operation, but you should identify if and why you might be sending extra commands.

Also, you really did not state the components in question.

What engine- product number, and complete details

What command base are you using? Legacy or  CAb1L blue base?

Any other LCS sensors or modules at play?

Is your matching CAB1L or CAB2 remote being used or active at the time? Maybe something sitting on a button?

Another factor at play- AUX2 turns on/ off lights in an engine but is also the turn out button pressed when addressing a switch. So is it possible a case of not addressing the right thing (engine vs switch)?

It could be, and I'm not familiar with all the special options of K-line cruise control modules- that again, some sequence and addressing you accidentally invoke a special command setting of that K-line engine?
