Here's a few pictures of the fantastic K Line 21" Bombardier commuter cars. These were really well done and it's a shame nobody makes them in full scale anymore.

Did you convert those to 2 rail?
Very sharp, I would run them with the lights off in the train room. I like how they are all lit up.

No. I was thinking about it when I got them and still haven't touched them. They are sitting up on my 3 rail highline!
Very nice.
I didn't know that K-Line made the Bombardiers in full scale length. Makes me wonder why MTH decided to build their units (like I have) shorter and stubbier at 19 inches.

MTH decided not to make Scale Pax, and Autoracks due to :
- Most layouts use 072 or less for curves
- The scale cars take up too much valuable space
- the scale cars look silly rounding 072 or sharper curves
So to appeal to the masses MTH tastefully truncated most cars to the 18" length and have yet to break that mantra
K Line offered them in 21"and 18" versions. They really did am outstanding job offering these things so they would appeal to everyone.
PRRHC and Will,
Good to know.

I think MTH Premier should be scale length and Railking should be the downsized (18" models here) moving forward. Probably won't happen.
Mine are only the 18 inch ones, stripped and redone as the New Mexico RailRunner, but I agree, they are very nice and since they are so common in commuter systems, it is surprising they have not been redone, even in the shorter 18 inch version.

Im not sure who got the tooling for these. Maybe WBB since they have the F59PHis. I know it's not Lionel.
As for MTH, I too would like scale Premier cars. It really irks me that they call them scale in the catalog when they're not. False advertising isn't cool.
