Hi, I have been running my jade green K-line E-8's with my premier Penn Central passenger cars. I really like this setup and would like to add cruise control to the TMCC equipped E-8's. What are my options and can I do it myself. Is ERR a drop in installation. Both A's are powered. Thanks for any input.

Cruise Commander M is great. Just take out the motor driver board and install the Cruise one...and an extra wire to run.
I think this is what you want...there has been some discussion of consolidating the Cruise M selections to just one kit. Up to now, you had to select steamer, diesel, or steamer IR tether.

ERR, specifically Jon Z. has stated on numerous posts that the ERR cruise stuff only supports two motors. I've had mixed results trying to run four motors with it. It may not be as simple as sticking the CC-M into it.
However, he could put a Cruise Commander M in each engine and run it as a TMCC lashup or as I did with my RDG F3 AA. I put Proto 2 in the lead unit an a slave unit in the trailing A.
The Cruise Commander M is the add-on driver board for modular TMCC electronics. The full Cruise Commander would be required if you need the whole kit.
I've toyed with the idea of doubling up the four leads to a CC-M and running them as a slave, but I'm not sure if the serial link would be up to supplying them both. You'd also want to check the loading on the PWM outputs with two CC-M modules connected.
