I saw one of these in an auction, and it was a two-truck (what I want..not a three-truck) but wonder if it is conventional..I think so..as that is what I will buy..?  I prefer Heislers, but the only one in 3 rail is three-truck and not

conventional....  Anybody have and is running these?  How do you like it..

any problems? I vaguely remember when these were offered but passed them up as they were not Heislers. Since there is not much hope for a small two-truck Heisler, I need to take another look at these...

But with K-Line gone, what about service if you need it?

Anybody know what happened to Maury Klein after the K-Line melt-down?  Used to see him at York...

I would suggest its either conv or TMCC; Lionel dealers are likely to service it.    Personally, I have a 3 truck birch, the heisler and have ordered the legacy Weyerhaueser.     I would wait and get a Legacy model as it will run slower and closer to the originals...   Coming in a month---

I have the K-Line 2-truck TMCC shay.  It is my favorite engine and my slowest smoothest running engine. They push 4 diecast cars up a 7% grade and don't blink.  My Heisler is no match for it, 2 diecast cars and it's speed varys whether up vs down.  The new Lionel 2-truck shays are based on the K-Line tooling.  They also run very good but I haven't been able to abuse one.
