I have a K-line tank engine and noticed that the antenna has an issue with interference when it is near another engine or a close by track (headlight flickers, commands are not responsive from the remote etc.)

I have laid out earth ground around all of my tracks and have thoroughly checked to confirm it is isolated.  All of my other engines are fine.  Is this a "board" issue that needs to be replaced?  If so, what would that be?

That's typically the R2LC board, that's the TMCC receiver.  FWIW, I have a number of K-Line locomotives, diesel and steam.  They have exhibited the most sensitivity to marginal TMCC signals on my layout.  I never saw any issue with Lionel, Atlas, Weaver TMCC or Legacy engines, but three or four of the K-Line locomotives had issues running under my second level.  I added an earth ground on the bottom of the second level deck and all was sell.

So would purchasing a new R2LC board fix the problem?
