After reading about these couplers, I'd like to know if there's a Vendor at York that I can get an in person view & demonstration of their product? Thank you, John

I tried to find some last Fall but essentially struck out. Beth in the Brown hall had a few. Perhaps some of the vendors will read this and bring some along.
Fortunately for me, English's hobby shop is on my route and they had every model in stock.

Kadee has been making couplers since the 1960s. They are an HO based line of all metal coupler and there are so many styles, you can adapt virtually any piece of HO rolling stock or engine to a perfect fit. They have become the standard HO coupler, they are that good. I know, I've been using them on my HO layout since the get go.
That said, they have recently come out with an O gauge coupler that fits Atlas and some others. They are more scale looking than what we O gaugers are used to seeing but, they work all the time, every time. And there are some Forumites who have started using them.
As far as a York presence, I would look to dealers of HO trains for a demo. Some cars may have them already installed.

thank you... I guess I won't see them at York

Well, if over 30 years ago qualifies as "recently" then you're right. The Kadee O-scale #805 has been around at least that long.
Thanks for the update, Bob. I did not know that.
