How many bring there son/daughter with you to the York show? Since I'm going in April, I'm bringing my son who will be eleven by then.

A great tradition for me. We've made some great memories headed to York over the last 11 years.
I took my sons to York until they grew up. I haven't yet!

I brought my wife and kids when York coincided with school vacations.
My sons like trains, but two whole days of York would have been too much. My wife would drop me off for the opening, and take the kids elsewhere to do tourist things. Then they'd meet me in the afternoon (when it was less crowded) and do a few halls with me.
The last time we went, I skipped the second day, and we all went to Gettysburg. Must have been a Saturday. I don't think they they've gone since the show opening was moved to Thursday. My boys are adults now.
Bring them they are the future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My only restriction for taking my boys on school days was school performance. If grades were down or there was a discipline issue, they didn't go.
My friend and I stopped taking our sons when they spent the day driving around the parking lot looking for girls. They would have had more luck at a convent!

I've never taken anyone with me to York, but I would think a kid 8 and over would be fine. For younger kids, just remember that this is NOT a 1-2 hour Greenberg show.
My grandson has been going to York with me since he was 3. He's 16 now & a senior in HS, & he is still going with us to York.
Oh yeah he's going, April York falls on School vacation next year.
I used to take my youngest son to York on Saturday morning. We started when he was 6. I would buy him a hot dog and we would go through the Purple and Orange Halls. He was into helicopters so I would get him one from a guy in the Orange Hall. And of course, T-shirts.
He's 17 now and lost interest in trains a long time ago. (sigh)

I am hoping to but, a certain 13 year old better knuckle down at school for his up coming exams! Other wise he and his Mom will take the train down to Lancaster and I will pick them (instead of just Mom) up and spend a great fall weekend.
