I just received the latest TM video Toy Train Review 4 for my birthday.  I got to watch it last night with my wife and loved it.  I was very anxious to get it because of two of my friends are on it:  Brian Vaill and Ken Schamberger.

Brian - Your layout looks fantastic!  Your interview was very well done and informative.  While I expected that of you, I was not disappointed, nice job.  The Dept. 56 city is awesome!  I'm not sure which is my favorite building, but the Flat Iron building is very high on the list.  I also love the way you grouped the buildings into business and residential.  Your passenger trains are beautiful and your new station is really spectacular.  It's easy to see why your visitors are in no hurry to leave.

Ken - While the video is great, it isn't able to completely convey the Christmas magic that you enjoy seeing it in person.  The music does add a lot though.  Your interview was great too, especially when you described your Milwaukee 261 and your dad.  I'm really glad that I could see your layout and really enjoyed watching the video.

Steve Nelson's layout is fantastic!  I must get down to Carmel and see it in person.

Thanks for your kind words.  I enjoyed you stopping by to see my layout last month.  When I saw Brian’s layout in 2013 December issue of OGR magazine, I was very impressed.  However, when my family and I, watched the video several weeks ago, we were taken back by his layout.  Although photos and articles are nice, video allows you to see so much more and gives you a different perspective.  I was also impressed with Brian’s interview too.  He provided more in depth description of his layout which added to the video.    I wish I was more descriptive during the interview in my part of the video.  The thing I like most about the video is there is a lot of train action to see between all the layouts being featured!!    Ken

I have the video.  I was very pleased with it.  I have been to the layout of Brian Vaill a few times.   Brian and Elizabeth have done a first class job keeping this layout on the "A" list.  I visited last year with Chris Lonero.  My prior visit was two years before that.  When I went back I was amazed to see some great structures on the layout that Alex Malliae had built for Brian.   The video was well done and Brian did a fantastic job narrating it.  Brian has two things on his layout that I am a big fan of.  They are passenger trains and tubular track.  Elizabeth has done a first class with her scenery work.  His layout is one that should be seen in person if you ever get the chance.

I was also blown away by the beautiful layout owned and built by Mr. Muffin.  This layout goes on my bucket list after I visit the layout of Alan Arnold.  This was one extremely well done video.  Great job TM.
