Just an update on Club business:
Tweaked the certificate, I think I've gotten a handle on the out of focus and slightly off center issues. Would like to get a gold stamped seal for the bottom left corner with a big 48 in the center and our Latin motto around it, that would add another $1.50 to the cost
Speaking of which how does "Terra de Quatuor X Octo Lignum Crusta" sound? Roughly translated The Land Of The 4x8 Plywood or just stick with NOS AEDIFICARE PARVA, SED SOMNIUM MAGNUM (we build small but dream big)?
Was on the VistaPrint site last night working on the membership card but the site was acting a bit wonky. Not sure if it was something I was doing but everytime I went to the preview it showed a white card not black and quoted me a price based on a paper card and not plastic. I've sent them an email but haven't heard back yet. Still have to set up a an email address for The 48 Club and set up a PayPal account, cost of the cards is around $83 for 50 or $54 for 25 (I'll have a better handle on that cost once I hear back from Vistaprint), the certificates are $8 for 50 sheets of parchment (hopefully the ink cartridge will hold out), certificate mailing envelopes run about 90 cents so that's another $45. Postage is unknown right now but so far it's looking like $2.83 to maybe $3.40 postage not included to just make a membership package (the $3.40 is if I only get 25 cards made at a time, not sure how many would actually want one so it might be less of an initial hit on me to go that route, especially if not everyone wants a kit).
So right now that's where that stands. As much as I'd like to be able to just make them up and send them out but that could get a little expensive on my part and the CEO probably would take issue with it.
