Do you ever get frustrated in the layout room trying to find something or worse still using the layout for a bench?
Well I still use parts of the layout that have no scenery for a bench near where I'm working and you will see that in some photos I post but for the other thing of keeping every thing together I use this. Roo.

From Australia to New Jersey one of the best $35.00 I spent at Harbor Freight for my Work/Scenery Trolley.
I also hate it when I see the layout being used as a work bench and my Catholic school upbringing has made me a anal organized place for everything and everything has a place person.
I have attached a few photos taken while I was also working on my fledging layout.

I like the drawer. I don't remember what I paid for mine but it must have been cheap otherwise I would have made one out of wood !

This post hits the nail on the head re looking for stuff when the layout needs attention. Assuming the cart will store under my layout (36" clearance below the benches), I must get one of those carts. Thanks for making me conscious of the cart.
I agree, I don't like stuff all over the place either. I am going to have to get some kind of low cost cart for building my new layout. Thank you very much for the ideas!!
I like this. Drives me nuts having to go to different spots to get the stuff I need to work on a project, then putting it away. I can get a couple -- one for the modeling stuff and one for the airbrush, paint and spray booth. Thanks for the tip Neville & John.

I have a cart from Harbor Freight as well - very handy and it neatly tucks under the layout. I mounted a power strip to it for added places to plug in things like soldering irons, hot glue guns, and portable lights.
Harbor Freight also has a 31" high cart with two shelves at $ 39.99
