I'm kind of hoping to be able to replace  MPC era Mghty Sound of Steam Southern Crescent and Chicago Alton Locomotives with LionChief +. I know one of the first LC rtr sets was the Broadway Limited I believe that was one of first the MSoS sets too. Maybe they'll come out with a LC Milwaukee Special rtr Passenger set.

Are there any other MPC era trains you'd like to replace with LionChief?

I don't think there's any way there will ever be scale LC+ steamers. That would run completely contrary to the purpose of the LC+ line of engines. Why not just get the Legacy version (assuming you can find one)?

If I'm not mistaken, the LC+ Camelback is scale and is from the scale tooling of some years ago.

They may do a little steam engine like that, but I doubt they'll ever do a large scale steamer like a scale Mikado or larger. That's not the LC market. Lionel wants customers to step up-market if they want to get into more scale stuff.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lionel is doing the Camelbacks with LC just to get a bit more value out of the molds - I don't think they sold very well previously.
