LCCA Day At the MOSH (Jacksonville FL) Recap
Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) member Henry Snyder (RM 30509) and a group of local train collectors in Jacksonville, FL hosted LCCA members, family and friends at an open house event with their Christmas operating toy train display at the Museum of Science and History (MOSH.) in Jacksonville FL from December 11 through December 28 ( Closed Christmas Day).
On Saturday, December 21, the museum was designated “LCCA Day” where all LCCA members who showed their membership card at the door were admitted Free into the museum and train exhibit. Members from the Jacksonville and the surrounding areas all attended and had fun at this event. As part of LCCA President Dennis DeVito’s plan to reach out and have direct contact with 2300 members before our 44th Annual Convention to be held July 21-26, 2014, LCCA members received LCCA Special Event pins and un-cut sheet of LCCA commemorative billboard inserts. Several lucky LCCA members won door prizes donated by the LCCA.
Our sincere thanks go out to LCCA Member Henry Snyder hank80801@yahoo.com , the local train enthusiasts and the MOSH museum for hosting this wonderful holiday season event. We hope to have more Special Events at the MOSH in the future.
This was a great, family friendly event where kids of all ages ( even us old guys) enjoyed and experienced the magic of Lionel Trains during this holiday season.
Best regards,
