For those of you who may not have attended a WGHOT show, you don't know what your are missing. Trains, trains and more trains of all shapes and sizes are there for the enjoyment of the entire family. Bring the kids, grand kids, neighbors, friends, they will have a ball! The LCCA is committed to being at this show to help introduce the club and Lionel toy trains to a generation that may not have grown up playing with Lionel trains as children.

LCCA member Michael Broggie will be a featured guest speaker making a presentation “Walt Disney’s Railroad Story” He will be making three presentations per day. Ask Mike about Walt Disney’s Lionel train layout he had in his office. You will be interested in his story.

The LCCA team of volunteers will staff a booth adjacent to Lionel's operating layout and display. We are certain you will enjoy LCCA's Mini-operating layout which was designed and built by TW TrainWorx of Dallas TX. This layout demonstrates what can be done within a very small area. You don’t have to have a large space to enjoy your Lionel O-Gauge trains.

We may need your help during this weekend train show. This is a golden opportunity for you to get involved with the club and introduce the Magic of Lionel Trains to thousands of people in just a couple of days. If you and any of your friends are interested in helping out, please call me at 248-709-4137 or stop by the booth and inquire.

Come and see the Lionel display and speak with Lionel personal. Bring your children or a friend and introduce them to the magic of the train hobby and the camaraderie of the LCCA. We'll welcome them into the club as new members of "The Best Toy Train Club on the planet"!  We hope to see you there! We know you will have FUN!

LCCA Volunteer Director Sal Gambino (L) is with newest LCCA Member Harvey Bernstein at the LCCA booth during the March 28-29 WGHOT Show in Edison NJ. Stop by the LCCA booth (next to Lionel's Booth) today or tomorrow and meet with LCCA's volunteers Dave Miller and Sal Gambino.  I guarantee you will have fun!   Stop by the Lionel booth and meet with Lionel representatives.  Lionel's display features several interactive, hands on LionChief Remote control starters sets.   Come and run the trains in Lionel's booth and at the LCCA's mini layout which was designed and built by TW  TrainWorx of Dallas TX.

Here is the Lionel Team at the LCCA Booth in Edison NJ at the WGHOT show today.  From Right to left, Lionel President Howard Hitchcock, Lauren Morris, Bill Wanders and J. Don  Reece are having fun with the LCCA's Switching Tracks Traveling Boxcar on the LCCA mini-layout.  This mini-layout which was designed and built by TW TrainWorx demonstrates what can be done with a small space in O- Gauge.  You don't have to have a lot of space to enjoy and operate your Lionel O- Gauge trains.

LCCA Has a Successful WGHOT Show in Edison NJ ( Recap)

The LCCA had another successful weekend at the March 28-29, 2015 WGHOT show in Edison NJ.   Thousands of visitors and over 100 LCCA members and family members visited the LCCA booth featuring our Lionel Mini layout.  LCCA volunteer Director Sal Gambino and volunteer Dave Miller represented the club during this two day show giving out LCCA un-cut commemorative bill board inserts to each LCCA member who stopped by and signed in.   The LCCA display was adjacent to Lionel’s display and interactive, hands on layouts featuring their new LionChief controlled starter sets.  The LCCA and Lionel team did a great job introducing Lionel trains to thousands of visitors who are new to the hobby as well as re-introducing  people who had Lionel trains as children, many years ago.

LCCA’s Switching Tracks Traveling boxcar made a special guest appearance on the LCCA Mini Layout which was designed and built by TW. TrainWorx of Dallas TX.   Lionel President Howard Hitchcock and his team consisting of  Lauren Morris, Bill Wanders and J. Don Reese visited the LCCA booth and had their photo taken with this LCCA traveling boxcar on our mini-layout.   Lionel Mascot Lenny the Lion also stopped by the LCCA booth and had some fun.   It was a fun event with everyone experiencing the magic of Lionel Trains.

Thanks go out to all of the LCCA members and guests who stopped by our display.   Thank you and welcome to all of the new members who joined the club during this two day event.  I invite all of you to get involved and participate in our Special Events program and possibly attend our 45th Annual Convention to be held July 20-25, 2015 at the Double Tree Hotel in Danvers MA.    The more you participate, the more fun you will experience.   Our club is made up of great people who like to have fun with Lionel trains.   So, Let’s have some fun together with Lionel trains!

Here are some photos of some of the new members who joined the club during this show.

Best regards,
