LCCA Membership renewal notice

Thanks for the posting....I thought it was a tad early....

I was also wondering what was going on a the e-mail sounded a little stern for being 4 months early! I don't feel so bad now.

Good Morning Al,

An additional question regarding membership renewals.  Last year, I received an email notice and then a hardcopy notice via US mail. Has this procedure changed?  Please advise.

I thought it was odd since I had just tried to renew online, and it said to wait until I got the notice. Then I get the email a few days later. I just want to make sure I am up to date since the convention is only a few hours drive from me this year.

We are supposed to send three reminders,a first an e-mail, then a hard copy mailing and then another e-mail

This was the only notice I received regarding membership renewal:

This automatic email notification is being sent to inform you that your LCCA membership renewal is due. Your membership is valid through 4/1/2014. You can renew your LCCA membership online by clicking the link below.

If you prefer to renew by mail, you can print the renewal form which can then be mailed to the LCCA Business Office.

The LCCA values your loyalty to the club and encourages its' members to renew as soon as possible to prevent any disruptions in service. Responding to this email will send a message to the LCCA Business Office. If you believe you have received this message in error, please contact the LCCA Business Office at office@lionelcollectors.org.

Bill,  it really depends upon when your membership expires.  This issue revolved around those memberships that expire July 1.  The way the system is supposed to work, first an e-mail goes out to remind members to renew(looks like you received this one).  If a member renews, he should not receive any more reminders.  If the member does not renew, we then send them a  reminder in the US mail.  Then, if they don't renew, we send another e-mail.
