Lovely. When's the GS4 arriving?
Hope there's growing interest and backing for his offers.
None of the announcements personally interest me. I asked him if he would consider a WP GS-64 in the GS project, but he said no for understandable reasons.
"During this exciting time we have been trying to accumulate enough reservations to start production, as of this writing we are still a little short to be able to dedicate funds to hit the GO button. We are hoping in the next coming months that things will be picking up so we can get production started.. "
So not even actually in production as of Feb. 12. I'm betting that March and April have not been positive given all circumstances.
These are wonderful products for the well-heeled. Martin - and I - often seem skeptical. That is because so many of these truly high end products never make it to the market. I sincerely hope that my skepticism is proven totally wrong.
If we got anything apart from envy and sour grapes from the two of you it would be an event.

Sort of agree - but why on earth would we envy a modeler who has to wait five years for the model of his/her dreams? Martin and I just build what we want. You should be envying us.
I guarantee you, either of us could buy a Marsh Daylight without batting an eye if we wanted to.

And I thought Lionel was expensive.
These should be at least triple a Lionel. For one thing, Lionel's target market is 1000 avid 3-railers. Marsh and others in that price range are looking at less than 100.
But these are serious models - every globe valve has to be there; all dimensions except track gauge must be dead-on, and they have to run noiselessly. That is a tall order for a $4000 model, and is why we don't see these things actually hit the market all that often.
Note the probably spectacular Beaver Creek models - they are not coming out with a model of the month. Even Key spaces them out, and they have been producing for a third of a century!
I don’t see anyone being envious, just fellow modelers keeping expectations in check.
As for my comment, I just wish there was flexibility with the offering. If it’s not financially feasible, that’s understandable.
The sole object of this thread was simply to pass on another option for high end brass, of which there are getting to be precious few.......and they do have a p48 option.

Financially feasible if the importer matches pricing to legitimate reservations, custom built for very limited number of buyers. JMO
