My father has a 12x8 layout with 2 tracksthat interchange between each other in the front and on the second track in the front there are some branch offs for accessories.  My problem is that when the 2 engines are running the transformer keeps tripping.  I have it wired for power off of 2 terminals,  what could be the problem that keeps tripping the transformer?  Any ideas?

Well, sounds like you are pulling too much power from the transformer.  Without knowing what engines and cars you are running, as well as the exact transformer, it's hard to be more specific.  Remember, lighted passenger cars draw quite a bit of power.  Also, the Pulmore motored locomotives tend to need more power than can motor models.  Finally, what grades are included in the layout?
