Legacy and MTH DCS

I have Legacy hooked up on my S Gauge 8'X24' layout with TMCC Track Power Controller (TPC ) 400 and two 180- Watt PowerHouse Power Supply. Can I just tap in on the two AC 180-watt transformers and then to the TIU and then to the track. I want use conventional and command mode via DCS handheld and Legacy handheld. I won't run the two at the same time. I can isolate the track power between the two with toggle switches. Do I hook to the Variable Voltage or the Fixed Voltage ? Will this work?
