Whose smoke gives the best result in Lionel Legacy trains?

Today's Lionel fluid is excellent, without any stinky smells.
On recommendation from Pat Norcross, I am using only Lionel smoke fluid. Smoke units are finicky and they cost money to replace.
Several brands will work well in Lionel trains, including JT’s, Mega Steam. That being said, there was a time, and I don’t know if this is still true that Lionel would only warrant their smoke units if you used Lionel premium smoke fluid. So I only use Lionel until the warranty is over.
After that it’s Lionel, MTH, or JT’s.
