Yes, connecting it involves only one wire (and DCS requires just three more--not rocket science).  Getting things to operate smoothly can be quite another matter, as I recently learned.  However, I certainly have not given up on the system and already have a couple of more Legacy locomotives on order.

 

And Dave:  Great that you got Legacy installed.  Now we can give those on-order items a full-blown Legacy test run when they arrive.

I've also just installed it in my shop. I wish had done so a lot sooner. I also love the fact that I can actually buy and install all by myself a control system that is in stock and freely available from a company that provides very detailed information and videos on line and has parts, and parts lists, and circuit diagrams. I believe they answer emails too.

Yes Marty I couldn't agree more about the Lionel 2-10-4!  Its my personal fav!

 

& Congrats to you Dave for making the step to hook up Legacy.  When I make it out there one day I'll bring a runner too! lol
