That is what the owner of my LHS stated when I stopped by and asked him several weeks back. He has over 10 units on preorder and many potential customers have been waiting for almost 9 months to take possession of these things.  He was very matter of fact in what has been communicated to him.   He has been right in the past with stuff like this. Heck he knew about the Floquil paint ceasing production weeks before the official announcement.

we have been talking about this for a year.

Lionel had an issue and until it gets fixed they are not going to release any Legacy units.

if you cannot wait, get a CAB1-L with a base and you will be 3/4 on your way to legacy.  these CAB1-L are much better then the CAB1 and almost as good as a Legacy.  I have both.

Agreed... this is the third thread talking about the same subject from the same OP.  Sorry, don't mean to point fingers, but the same thread keeps popping up, only its a new one everytime.

I have a theory... its probably wrong, but a theory none-the-less.  I think Lionel is deliberately delaying the release of more Legacy systems so people will go out and buy the Cab-1L system instead.  This way people get desperate and buy the lesser system since they can't get a legacy unit.  Then, when they do release the legacy unit, everyone will have to go get one since it's slightly better than the Cab-1L.

Lionel is looking for a sales manager in Concord, N.C. This might be an opportunity for someone to get on board and contribute. I came across this while looking for SMT  engineering careers in that area. They are also looking for a web designer and graphic artist

Yes... and if I were a dealer and the importers told me I had "permission" to sell/advertise their products at 10% over cost, I'd tell them they should practice what they preach and sell product to me at 10% over THEIR cost.

We'd all like to pay those prices for product, but sadly nobody would be in business too long with those margins.
