I searched here and the 88 page Legacy users manual but could not determine if there is a way to sound all the engines in a mixed Legacy/TMCC lashup using Legacy control. The manual says only the lead engine is defaulted to make whistle/horn sounds but it can be delegated to a different engine in the lashup. I want to be able to hit the horn button and hear the sweet sound of two articulateds and a 4-12-2 giving all they got. Is there a way the Trainlink function can make this happen? Other ideas? I guess I could just run in the TMCC environment but the Legacy control is just that much better. Let me know, thanks.

When you build your train in Legacy, you can select the 2nd or 3rd engine and turn the horn on for those as well. When you select those engines look down on the number pad and you will see a horn symbol. Select that for one or both engines.
Oh sweet, thanks. The user manual was kind of confusing in that regard, here is an excerpt from pg. 60, "In a LEGACY Control System Lashup, Crew Talk, Tower Comm dialog and Warning Sounds are heard only from the head-end unit." Then it goes on to talk about all sorts of ways to delegate these sounds to others in the LU. I guess what they meant to say was these sounds are defaulted to On for the head unit and need to be manually selected for other engines in the LU.
Yeah it's not real clear. Try it and let me know if you need help. I can post pictures if you can't figure it out.
mixing TMCC and legacy engines will not have the same effect as two legacy engines.
