I'm a big big fan of these locomotives. Do you have a weird, weathered, strange or just regular old RS model Alco?
Let's see them!

Big fan of RS locos. Guess it helps that my initials are RS also.
Still on the hunt for some RS-1's. MTH made a really sharp LIRR version similar to Johan's.
How about a plain old RS-3? Here's am MTH Reading, and I also have am MTH PRR and a couple of K-Line Erie Lachawana RS-3's.
RS-2? Never seen one.
Steam generator detail on the short hood.
Well since I started this thread (and now that I'm home from work) I should put my contribution up as well. There have been so many amazing pictures of beautiful layouts and weathering jobs. One of mine is a GN Lionel dual motor RS-3. The other is a LIRR Lionel. Some related paraphernalia too.
Fuzz,
Thanks for starting this topic. I totally forgot that I had an RS1. It is an AtlasO model of the non-steam generator equipped RS1 that I bought back in 2002. It had TMCC and RS4 but did not run well. I had TAS EOB cruise installed which helped but still wasn't a great runner so it was put away and forgotten until now. I pulled it out and took some photos.
The Pennsy did not buy the non-steam equipped RS1 until 1950, after my layout's era. The Pennsy did buy five steam generator equipped RS1 engines in 1948 and I plan to modify this engine with the steam generator details. Luckily this is a simple mod as long as I can match the paint. Anyway, here are some photos of my RS1.
How did this LIRR engine get down in Columbia, MD? MTH PS 2.0 model. It should not be running in the freestate.
Charlie
Ron, Its an Atlas Washington Terminal engine, repainted. The details you see came with the engine.

Well you can make one from an RS3. I believe Model Railroader did an article on converting an HO RS3 to an RS2. The visual changes are the file tank filler is on the cab sides (as the fuel tank was under the cab floor) some vent changes and more "air space " between the trucks.
