There a lot of kids who enjoy this hobby with their fathers and grandfathers. I would like to see pictures of these junior railroaders.

I sure wish, almost more than anything, that I could contribute to this thread with a photo...
Enjoy them, everyone. Don't ever forget that there are people who couldn't have kids for various reasons.
I'm one of them. My wife simply couldn't bear them, after we spent an astronomical amount of money and my wife endured horribly painful medical procedures, just to find this out. Adoption wasn't a workable option as my side of the family doesn't consider adopted kids to be anything other than someone else's kid that you're looking after. I couldn't have handled any adopted kid of ours not being seen in the same way my brohter's two biological kids (who I love greatly, as they're both great kids) were by my family. Neither could my wife.
I don't mean to be a downer here, but when I hear people griping about what a pain their kids are, I always reply, "I bet you'd find it a greater pain never having had them." That usually stops them cold.

Thanks Bob, we do a video each year, here is the first one which you might like, I wish the video quality was better, but still priceless the way it is.
Lee/P51, I'll give my kids a few extra hugs tomorrow morning when they wake up after reading your post, we're certainly blessed here at my home with our two fantastic daughters.
When my children were a bit younger in 2007.
seeing these smiling kids reminds me of the kid faces after the Trains For Kids Christmas projects, kids and trains go together.

We don't have any children but that doesn't mean kids are not around the layout. My sister and her family are stationed in Germany but they usually get to come back to the States every other summer. My nephew always wants the first stop to be Uncle Bryan's house to see the trains. I have been given an edict by the family that I need to have something running, even though I am in the process of a major rebuild, because they are coming in again this summer.

I have an annual "Train Party" for my entire family. This year I hired a Mr. and Mrs. Claus as a special guest!
OK, not a train picture but I could not find a picture of my grand daughter running trains. And she LOVES to run them.
A one-time Easter related layout. Up for all of one day.
Meet Lyndon, my newest fan!
