Many of us are looking to add to the engine herd and sometimes get a score.  Post a picture of your latest engine addition, new, used or classic.  Here is mine from the TCA show in Ponchatoula, LA in Nov 2011.

It is a Lionel 2046, 4-6-4 from 1950 and about as big an engine I can run on my 027 layout.

It runs very well and looks good on tight curves.  I had to shave a little off of a tunnel portal as its cab roof hit.  My long Lionel 671 turbine roof did not hit.

Haven't taken any recent photos of the layout lately...will do so next week and post an update thread.

Newest engine, a Railking Imperial (Imperials have got to be the best bang for your buck in the hobby) Y6B. Very happy so far. It was purchased as an MTH Specialty Set which includes the engine, 4 coal hoppers and caboose.

I got it late last year....but it is my last purchase. A Williams brass GS-4 scale (some say semi scale) 4-8-4. I've wanted a GS-4 since I got into O back 1992. And it took this long for me to find one I wanted at a price I could pay. Pretty nice for the $$$I

I had my MTH RK N&W J out to compare just for the fun of it.

Two picture of my "latest acquisition" which arrived today.

Another WBB Baldwin 10-wheeler.  My fifth.  I will leave it in the box for now (picture one).  I have project plans for it, bashing, etc.

Most interesting thing is this.  I ordered it from MB Klein (modeltrainstuff.com)- and as usual it arrived promptly within three days.  Note, however, (picture two) the address and company Bachmann sent it too.  Interesting.  Did not/still do not know if there is actually ac onnection between these two companies, but maybe others know.

Surprised to not see more GG1's on here considering that sale that's been going on

Not a Williams, but my most recent engine purchase was my Lionel JLC scale GG1 that I bought back in January (I think, somewhere around there).  TMCC, Railsounds, die-cast shell, metal frame and die-cast trucks, motorized operating pantographs, steam generator "blowoff" (simulates the safety valve going off)

When my latest addition was cataloged (MTH 2011 v.1) I really liked it, but couldn't justify it because it isn't in the roadnames I run and have limited myself to, and I HAD to have these:

351

So the latest MTH Catalog came out, and I was researching the NKP GP-9 in John Rehor's classic "Nickel Plate Story" and I came across information that while waiting for their order of GP-9s to arrive, the Nickel Plate leased a number of Chesapeake & Ohio GP-7s. Having admired this in the catalog and again when I saw it in person, I decided to track one down and run it as leased NKP power on my pike.

Very well pleased with this Rail King Scale locomotive, and a number of details that weren't listed in the catalog.
