Here's my contribution. This includes a trio of classics that I lined up several years ago on my former layout. I liked this photo so much that I use it as wallpaper on my iPad. Across the three tracks are a Hudson, K4 and F7. When I got these, it fulfilled my wishes from when I was a kid! Enjoy....

Ahhhhh, Ooooooh, Beautiful photos of Grand old girls. And, Apparently I need to find some Sleeeeek Silllllver passengers cars for my GG1. My grandson said that the POLAR EXPRESS movie had a Steam engine pulling it, NOT an Electric GG1. (ahhhhhh, time to order something for the grandkids I guess.)
Any Thoughts for Proper Scale Size Passenger Consist? Thanks for all the posts and photos.

Craig, Is the lower engine a Williams? By the notched tender, the upper engine looks like the Lionel.
Today's engines are my two Weaver K4s, the lead engine being the Torpedo. Both upgraded with ERR command control, smoke and sound, and doublehead well.

Here's my C&O George Washington with an almost prototypical 12 car consist. Mixture of Lionel, K-Line, and Golden Gate Depot cars.

Ron, yes, you are correct. Good eye.

Nice model/layout. I have four 3460 class Hudsons but the 2900 class Northern is my favorite ATSF steam passenger locomotive. I usually run my Premier model it on The Chief, even though it's not quite prototypical. It's my version of the ATSF, so I'll bend the rules once in awhile.

Pete...I agree that no collection is complete without an SF warbonnet...or two! Which manufacturer are the above? Are the diaphragms between units original equipment or did you replace with others?

The engines are Lionel made around 2005-2006. Lionel made multiple runs in the early 2000s. Train 16, 17, 18, and 19. 17 was conventional, the rest have Odyssey Cruise and china drives. They sit lower than the later runs which have Liondrive.
Diaphrams are stock. I ended up using truck mounted kadees to close the gap. They still negotiate 042 with the Kadees.

@Randy Harrison posted:Is this Blue Comet an MTH model? If so, can you post the MTH Product Identification number (i. e. 30-XXXX)? We have a Lionel Fundimentions Comet that is conventional control and would like to get one with DCS Proto 2 or 3 that runs on tighter O-31 curves.
Thank you
It is the Rail King 30-1172-1 with PS2. This Blue Comet is an excellent runner and has been reliable.
