Here's my 5' x 9' 027 Lionel Postwar Layout.
These photos are a bit old. Hopefully I will have some new ones when I get more work done in the next few weeks.
Here is the PW style layout of a good friend of mine and member of this forum Jim 1939.
His layout was fully featured in CTT 1 or 2 issues back.

It is neat for me to see how many of those old Gilbert/AF bucket coal loaders are still in use, like I had when I was a kid.
Johnsgg1 looks like it still has the original windows still in it!! I was a little less kind to mine as a kid.
How many others still use one of those like we do?
Greg
Great layouts everyone!

Michael R., I love the look of your layout The shade of green, the painted blue water and the look of the mountain/tunnel, and the plasticville buildings really capture the prewar/postwar look.
Here's the layout I had in 1970 at age 13.
Great stuff, guys - very impressive!
Pure awesomeness everyone!
My thanks also for starting this thread. Much as I love the great scale layouts, I know I will stay "post-war toy" in overall theme. Layout still in progress now, and waiting for modules to be re-inserted after Holiday Trackers show, so here's a past view of the 1980's Dallas (PA) Penn Station Layout that gave me so much pleasure.
Guys......I don't understand it.......the picture I loaded is NOT the one that is showing!?

Thank you, that's exactly the look I am going for. I truly enjoy it, and the best part is that it can be done on a College budget.
Great pictures everyone. Thanks for sharing.

I want to get an automatic gateman to add to the layout.
