Can one purchase the light bulbs for #10 AND 384 from Radio Shack, or is MTH a better bet? I have not tried looking yet.

What bulbs do these pieces take? I'd guess that they both look good with either a 430 (12-14 volt), or 432 (18 volt) bulb. These bulbs have G-4.5 globes, and are miniature screw base.
I'd suggest getting them from your favorite parts dealer.
Here's a great source for train light bulbs. Notice in the left column on their home page under "categories", you see "Light Bulbs Group A", "Light Bulbs Group B", "Light Bulbs Group C"... they are grouped by price... they have a lot of light bulbs.

With a bit of googling using this:
432 18V .25A/G4-1/2 Mini Screw Base Light Bulb
a source came up selling them for 68¢ each. Another is selling ten for $6.49.

this Lead is from John, for LED's , and I have just changed over the
Tinplate Traditions Christmas loco, /Caboose
Are you happy with the LED? I am not sure how that would look on a tinplate loco, which is usually more nostalgic looking?
Joe
I didnt like the LEDs when I tried switching to them for headlights, interior or other uses for a white bulbs. Even the "warm white" have a sickly greenish yellow color to them in my opinion. But red is red and green is green, so those worked well for me.
JoeG are you talking about original engines or the MTH ProtoSound 2 engines? If MTH they are 6V bulbs for the headlights. So you need to be sure what voltage rating based on what type of engine you have. G
Yes, It is A PS2 Engine, that is why I was not sure on the voltage.
