Gentlemen: I know you guys are the ones to ask for opinions. I include three photos of my latest project which is 7 1/2 inches from the ceiling. A glimpse will tell you why. Almost done with the wood and the trains are DCS controlled, and Lionel ZW powered. They run as smooth as I've ever seen. It's a hundred foot loop, double tracked, a small yard, with a backdrop to add depth and hide the brackets. All wiring must be on top as the boards are to look like the boxed I beams from below.
I am now thinking of adding lighting along the I beam boxes and on top of the 9 1/2 inch train boards. Not sure if you think it's needed and not sure what to use if so. I saw the LED strips that look small enough, but have never used them.
Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
