it sounds like you've lubricated the engine once removed from its shipping container, but still have a squeak...

Have you removed the locomotive shell to oil the upper motor bearing? (It's usually beneath a flywheel making oiling a more difficult maneuver without a needle-point oiler.)

The lower motor bearing can usually be oiled with the boiler casting installed, but the upper requires removal.
