Hello All, wondering how many have bought this set or thought about it. Very costly. Is it worth it. Does it have worth while surprises? Can we see any pictures or comments. Thank, Dave

Received the new NYC F3 - I like it but some will not. It follows the basic 1948 model but with changes. Since NYC only had F3s as freight locomotives so it is painted dark gray instead of light gray(the NYC passenger diesel color scheme). Has the vents for steam heat. The grab irons on the front are almost scale in size. Has all the Legacy features.

Please post photos of the NYC F3's.

Actually the NYC freight F-units were painted black. (MTH S Scale model shown)

I don't know, I think my thread was hijacked. I started asking about #2022120

To clarify for you, in addition to the Santa Fe F3s in the set, Lionel also offered the same engines for separate sale in New York Central, Pennsylvania, Union Pacific, and Southern Pacific liveries. (See p. 93 of the 2020 catalog.)
