I have the subj. loco purchased new this year. (shop has old inventory). I had run the loco for several weeks with no issues. I recently put back in service and while it runs fine and responds to commands, I get Railsounds, but no horn or bell. Is this possible? Other locos using same handhold and same track function correctly.
Do you get coupler sounds when you open the electrocouplers? How about diesel prime mover changes when you manually ramp up using AUX1/3 on the remote?
If the answer to those questions is no, it sounds like the RS4 board isn't seeing the serial data. In that case, I reseat the boards first, and if that doesn't fix it, I reseat the two PLCC chips on the RS4 board.
