Lionel 18" Aluminum Passenger Cars

Does anyone know what the minimum curve of these cars. The Lionel Catalog does not mention this and the Lionel Service Department person I spoke with said 054 but as we know many times engines and cars do operate fine on the next sharper curves. These cars are shown in the 2011 volume 1 catalog. Does anyone how operates these find that they can run on 048 Fast Track curves? Thank you.
