1. The brush springs go into the brush tubes on top of the brushes, which touch the armature. Do not forget the ball bearing for the top of the armature, if equipped.
2. The ground spring touches the dummy axle and is held in place by the same screw that secures the roller via a shouldered fibre washer. The wire from the roller is soldered to a lug here as well.
3. The direction-changing switch spring is riveted to the sliding (bumper) assembly.
4. The collector spring is held by the rivet around which the roller arm pivots.
