I purchased a 550 Lionel standard gauge people figure set at York this month. The set box is pristine and figures are excellent with a only a few tiny chips. Anybody know what the value of this set might be? I have seen a few of these online but boxes if present are pretty rough and figures have lots of flaking.

If you just bought it at York, wouldn't that price be in fact the value? Now you have us curious to see it and what you paid for it. Sounds like you might have got a deal.

Bobby these are in great condition. What others think of the value is irrelevant. The only person who has to be happy with the deal is you. I would look at it from the dollars to enjoyment valve. Either on your display shelf or placed around your layout, when you look at them and they bring a smile to your face….you got a good deal!!
