lionel 6-14109 carousel too slow

applied voltage doesnt matter. im sure it has a voltage regulator in it. does anyone know if its adjustable ? or, how to speed it up ? If so, where do i start at to open it up? top or bottom? seems bottom doesnt drop out too easily. id be grateful for any input. thanks, paul

It just might be the nature of the beast. I have the same one and it runs slow. I could turn the power all the way up and it has one speed slow.
