Hello everybody,

I just purchased the subject New York Central e a diesel and the color looks a little llight as compared to some of the pictures I've seen of New York Central diesels. Please advise what you think of the color and if it is scale like relative to color.

Much thanks, Jerry

The color on my New York Central E8s are also lighter than my two Legacy NYC GP9 engines.  It appears to be a light dove gray.  It is not as dark as my older Pre-war F7 NYC engines or the older Lionel passenger cars I have.  I looked on line and found a variety of color shades in photos.  If Lionel ever makes the 20th Century Limited 21" two-tone gray passenger cars, it could be an issue of matching the paint to the E8 engines.
