Just now on Fox & Friends the weather guy was doing a segment on The Pro Bass Shop Christmas Wonder Land. As I was getting up to get a second cup of coffee, there it was, a Lionel Fast Track Christmas Train doing its thing.  From what I could see it looked like a new Christmas offering from Lionel.  It was a steam engine with Christmas rolling stock.

I need to attend a church function at 9am.  I hope some of the Forum members can give a more detail description of the trains and layout.  It looked great to me, good to see Lionel doing this for the Christmas Season.

Many thanks,

To the best of my knowledge, Lionel is the only manufacturer that has any national presence on TV this time of year via J Don and his segments. Too bad. Even if folks see another O Gauge train on TV they most likely say to themselves, "hey look a Lionel Train".

I wish they they all could do more.

I noticed the Wegman's Christmas train display was already up at one of the local stores in southeast PA.  Appeared to be the same boxed set as 2012 for $199.  Also some individual add-on cars -- boxcar, tanker, trailer on flatcar, etc... all priced at $49.99/ea, which I thought was a bit steep for non-scale sized cars with plastic trucks.  But that's what the sign said.  Also LOTS of Fastrack "expansion packs" to make larger ovals than the circle of track that comes with the set.

So Wegman's is already doing their part this year to promote toy trains and Christmas.
