This is the new Amtrak Acela set plus the 3-car add-on expansion pack. The result is just over 13 feet of Acela goodness!
Thanks,
Eric Siegel

great train , good video
Drop dead gorgeous! That metal flake in that silver paint is stunning. Problem is on day 366 try finding someone to repair it.
Look me up a year from now.
Glad to see your nose cones arrived safely. Mine arrives tomorrow and it’s good to see that many are arriving in good condition.
Great Runbys! I think they were the best I've ever seen.

That's cause he picked up from store, wasn't shipped.
What a stunning consist! Great video! The automatic pantographs were a surprise!
Phenomenal video, Eric. Well done. What an amazing set, and thank you for sharing!
Show stopper.
Are the couplers the same as 1st issue?
So realistic I can smell the chemical toilets from here. All kidding aside, pretty sharp looking!
very nice!

How did it get from the factory to the store?
Very nice. The illumination and interior views of the cars in the night scene (starting at 2:58) are some of the most realistic I have seen.

I guess you can see into the future. Why so negative. Let him enjoy his train.
The original Lionel Acela interiors were the nicest I had ever seen. Looks like they took it up a notch. Nice video, I hope you get years of enjoyment out of it.

Great video of a great train, Eric.
I'm jealous that I don't have my set yet.
I ordered from Charles Ro, and according to their customer service they are expecting to receive the Acela sets tomorrow (4/6/22). So, it's going to be awhile.
Anybody who has received their Acela, please post videos.
Just received my set and the nose cones are in perfect condition! Whew, I had been quite nervous. I’m off work tomorrow so I’ll get it on the track tomorrow, but it is an amazingly beautiful set! my expansion set should be here Thursday. So exciting!

I meant it was picked up at store, not shipped from store to another location all by itself risking damage. Less likely to be damaged fresh off a pallet of them, then a trip on ups or fedex
That is one sharp looking consist - thanks for sharing the video Eric.

Modern passenger trains aren't my thing, but I agree with those compliments above, nice set!
I'll have to admit. I had to look away right before the pantographs reached tunnel portal, lol!
Amazing set and great video. As much as I appreciate your reviews, this plain video of the Acela just running is perfect.
Arguably one of the best product reviews that didn't say or print a single word. Eric always does a great job but the photography and editing on this was superb. (The train was nice, too!)
Just wondering. Didn't the first run have operating doors and lean into the curves? Did this run keep these features?
The Acela isn't really my thing so I haven't paid much attention to them, but they really do look cool.

Best “preview” video of a train I’ve ever seen - just awesome 👍🏼 - love the night scenes and Lionel’s “sounds” just keep getting better
We are so fortunate in this hobby at this time to be able to get these “sneak peaks” of things - thank you Eric
Why the negative comments??? - the lack of maturity is amazing 🙄

Have you heard anything from C RO on the Acelas? They’ve been at trainworld for a while now. Wondering why its taken so long to turn these around.

Yesterday, my wallet felt kind of warm. I pulled out a credit card and it was hot. I checked my account online, and sure enough there was the charge from Charles Ro for the Acela (regular set plus expansion set).
I'm just waiting for the email to tell me my Acela has shipped.
Hi Eric,
Two weeks ago, I ran my new set with add-on coaches. After 10 minutes of running the first-class coach coupling came apart. There is a tiny screw and washer set that hold the couplers in place. I tried to find the missing screw with a magnet but had no results. I ended up tightening the rest of them so the problem wouldn't repeat itself. I contacted Lionel for replacement screws and after two weeks of emails and a call in they have promised me they have shipped them. As yet, there is no parts list for this version posted. Should you have an issue the part number they used was: cs-691MISC001 Best of luck with your set.
