I have a few command control switches from Lionel and was wondering if I can wire them to the MTH DCS AIU and control them with both remotes. Is this possible? If so how do I do it? Can I just run wires from the common, straight and curved inputs on the switches to the terminals on the AIU or is there more to it? Also can I still power them using the track power like I am now? Thanks for the help.

I don't see why not.  Since they use different protocols.    Look at it like this:  The AIU is replacing the hardwired Lionel Switch Controller.  It is still wired in.    You are not sending a signal over DCS to the Lionel switch. Rather you're just controlling the AIU relay that sends the momentary voltage to move the switch motor via the wires.

You can still use track power.   On my second small layout, I use DCS-AIU for the two switches, and they are on track power.

You're right. I don't use the controllers as both don't work anymore (two days after I purchased both switches, they both stopped working.)
