We need a little help with the Lionel crane & boomar. The crane works just fine but we need a help with the boom car sound wise, the only sound we can get is the diesel motor, no cab chatter, nothing else, the crane and boom are both ID 13. Is there a code for the boom car?

Press 7 on the Cab-1 to turn on the crew dialog. Press Aux 7 to turn off the crew dialog. Aux 8 turn off all sounds. Aux 9 turn on all sounds. Sometimes I have to make several attempts for things to take, but it usually ends up working fine.

Hi Tom, Thanks for your post, we finally got the thing to work but not really sure how,The crane and boom car were sitting on the same parallel yard tracks, the crane worked just fine but not the boom car. anyway we tried giving the car a new ID and code. we tried 5 and every time jack put his hand over the car the sounds sort of worked. We moved the thing to another part of the layout and all is fine. Weird!.
Sounds like you have a ground plane issue if putting you hand over the car make it work fine.
Had the same problem & added another drop, all is well know.
